Fifty Degrees Towards Darkness
Pierard went up to the attic to search for some cold weather clothes. If he was going to embark on a polar expedition to the plumber, he would have to prepare himself first.
Where to start? He frowned as he looked about the cluttered corners of the attic. Pierard wished he had brought along some extra help, but then they’d probably make a mess or simply tell he was crazy for trying to travel in such weather.
I never thought it would be this messy, Pierard wandered over to an old-fashioned, pedal-powered sewing machine that had several wicker sewing baskets stacked on top. A long time ago, someone had used it to make clothes. He wondered whom exactly. He also wondered how much trouble it went into hauling it up here. It was a really heavy, bulky thing consisting mostly of cast-iron.
Pierard lifted off the lid of one
The Planet Made of GooBack story of the Gurei:The Planet Made of Goo by Kiba-lnuzuka
Out in the far reaches of the universe, there is an unknown planet made entirely of slime and goo. Mysteriously though, the air of the planet is still breathable by its inhabitants. The dominant species on this world is a space age elf/humanoid hybrid species. Their species was stranded on the planet long ago after their spacecraft had crashed. The goo around the planet has different viscosity (some parts thicker and some parts more water-like) and luckily for them it was thick enough in the spot they crashed so they didn't sink into the slimy depths of the planet. They dismantled their ship and used it to make platforms for their first city. Since most of the technology was destroyed in the crash, they basically had to start from scratch. Luckily for them, they eventually figured out a way to dismantle the ship's badly damaged particle transformer and turn it into a device that could transmute the planet's natural goo

Ch. 15--His Nibs
When I finally came to, the first thing that greeted my startled eyes was a really high window shining with blotches of silvery-blue light. I stared at these bright spots for a few minutes, dumbfounded while my mind tried to make sense of my surroundings. Then the realization filled me with a cold sinking dread in the pit of my stomach.
What I thought was moonlit patches of ice on the windows of that long dark hallway was actually hand prints. Lots and lots of these things spread-fingered and criss-crossing the dark panes.
There had to be some rational means for the presence of all these hand prints. I briefly considered the possibility of dark-dwelling, semi-intelligent hands, running arachnidly on four fingers and a thumb. I decided that such ideas were silly, it was probably due to a group of children who made the hand prints. It could be worse, what if they were nose prints, large-sized, economy noses to mo

Ch. 14--Behind the Gray Door
The figure that slowly emerged from the doorway was dressed entirely in skin-tight leather and the lower half of his face was hidden by a black mask. His purplish-pink hair swayed limply as he slowly turned his head.
Just in time I ducked my head out of sight again. Sweating, I held my breath while the ominous figure’s red-orange eyes searched the hallway. For one narrowing minute, I thought I was going to see those fiery coals a few inches from my face. But then I heard the swishing of leather dwindling away in the distance, and I poked my head out, my teeth chattering away like maracas.
I waited for another moment and then came quietly out into the corridor. Looking at the door, I discerned it was unlocked. After a quick look around, I grasped the knob and turned it gently. With a loud squeaking that jarred my nerves as well as my eardrums the door swung open. I soon found myself in a

What is a monster?
"Every being, real or imaginary, human or non-human that exceeds the norm or the ordinary; something extraordinary, be it horrible or wonderful in a physical or moral manner."
With this we want to express that a monster doesn't have to be horrible. It's the wonderful thought that something anomalous or something different, sometimes even scary in appearance, can be beautiful and familiar. Something on which you can project your fears, your desires, your ideals, making the impossible something real with a little imagination.
Thus is born Teratophilia, from the greek teratos, meaning monster, and philia, meaning love and friendship. So let there be love for our monster friends and weirdos alike.
Finn: Is this really my life?
Is this how my story ends?
Bein' in this body,
Seems like a battle that I cannot win.
Maybe I should lay my head down slow,
And sleep until it's all over,
Is this the end,
of the hero boy named Finn?
HECK NO! Darn it, no! This isn't how I go!
I'm gonna kill it!
I'm gonna kick life's butt,
and win it, to win it.
I'm gonna take life's name,
and spit on it! And kick it!
Life can just go eat it,
cause' this is a man's game!
Finn: Get up, Gork!
Gork: Huh? Why?
Finn: I'm not gonna let you lie here,
and waste away,
you better get up, Gork or I'll kick you up,
today's the day!
Gork: Whoa. Okay man, just be cool.
Finn: And I'm not gonna be cool!
Cause I'm pipin' hot!
Get up, Trudy, get up, Kim.
I'm not gonna let you rot!
Jake: Hey, Finn.
Finn: Ja-a-a-ke, stop tellin' me to enjoy,
bein' a foot, and get out of that trash!
Jake: Heh heh. I can't take you seriously when you're singing, man.
Finn: Get up! All of you make me sick!
I'll fix you with my kicks!
Gonna reconstruct your self worth,
brick by emotional brick.
The hero boy named Finn, Finn the human, Adventure Time (Freak City).
